1. General objective

Training human resources which are capable of scientific knowledge, basic knowledge and majors in IT; have analytical and problem-solving skills; have communication and teamwork skills, have a suitable professional attitude to meet the development requirements of the industry and society; are capable of building and administering IT systems.

2. Detail objectives

PO 1: Possess basic knowledge of natural and social sciences, the fundamental and specialized knowledge in IT.
PO 2: Apply reasoning skills, problem solving skills, research skills and knowledge discovery in IT.
PO 3: Develop communication skills, teamwork skills, foreign language competence, professional and creative working style, and entrepreneurship to meet the requirements of globalization and lifelong learning.
PO 4: Possess capacity of conceiving, designing, implementing and operating IT systems in the context of society and business

3. Admission criteria

a. Object to admission: The candidates must graduate from high school in the form of formal education or continuing education, professional intermediate, vocational high school, vocational secondary school. The candidates participate in the university admission under the enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and get the passing scores of this training discipline.
b. Admission form: Admission scheme of AGU
c. Admission’s Combination of subjects: A00, A01, D01, C01.
d. Admission criteria: approximately 100 - 150 students/cohort.

4. Expected learning outcomes

ELO 1: Apply basic knowledge of natural and social sciences in the field of IT
ELO 2: Apply fundamental and specialized knowledge in IT
ELO 3: Apply specialized knowledge in IT to solve practical problems
ELO 4: Utilize software and tools in analyzing, designing, developing, testing, administering and maintaining IT systems.
ELO 5: Recommend appropriate IT solutions to problem for organizations and businesses
ELO 6: Analyze, reason, and solve problems related to the field of IT to manage resources and activities of organizations or businesses.
ELO 7: EApply scientific research skills to synthesize, analyze and evaluate scientific works.
ELO 8: Apply effective communication, presentation and teamwork skills.
ELO 9: Possess English communication skill equivalent to level 3/6 of Vietnam's Framework of Foreign Language Proficiency; Read specialized documents in English.
ELO 10: Train a professional working style, understanding of ethical values, professional and social responsibilities; train creativity, self-control and lifelong learning habits.
ELO 11: Recognize social contexts and needs, Conceiving, designing, implementing, and operating IT systems.

5. Training process, eligibility for graduation: according to Decision No. 262/VBHN-DHAG dated August 18, 2014 of the President.
6. Teaching activities and assessment

a. Teaching method:
   Lecturing, group and individual activities, case study, brainstorming, presentations, criticism, group project.
b. Assessment:
   Assessment includes formative assessment (individual assignments, group assignments, essays, group projects), mid-term test and final test.
   Course rating scale: 10-point scale, rounded to 0.5.
